Gillingham have completed the signing of Bristol Rovers striker Jo Kuffour on a permanent deal until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old has been Andy Hessenthaler's top January transfer target after impressing in a loan spell earlier this season.
He scored seven goals for the Gills, including a hat-trick in the 4-3 win over Northampton and both goals as league leaders Crawley were beaten 2-1 on Boxing Day.
Kuffour has been struggling with bronchitis since his loan spell ended after the game with Dagenham in December, but has now sealed his return to Priestfield after leaving Bristol Rovers.
He will be included in the squad for Saturday's npower League Two clash against Shrewsbury Town, although he is still suffering the effects of his illness.
Kuffour is the Gills' second signing of the day, following on from Gavin Tomlin's arrival this morning.
Hessenthaler said: "I'm delighted we've been able to bring Jo back to the club. He did very well for us in his loan spell and it's a big boost to be able to bring him back."
